JOB DESCRIPTION: Under the supervision of the Director of Mental Health Crisis Services, supervises staff, and coordinates services offered by the Mobile Crisis Outreach Team. Also provides direct mental health services including: screening, crisis intervention, crisis follow up, rehabilitative services, and consultation services in situations related to MH/IDD issues. Coordinates with law enforcement, hospitals and other community providers to complete assessments and facilitate admissions and referrals. Flexible work schedule, travel required.
QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor’s degree with a major course work in a related program, such as Human Services/Social Services or Psychology. Master’s degree preferred. Prefer at least three years experience working with individuals with mental health issues and familiarity with crisis situations. Considerable knowledge of principles and practices of community mental health services related to mental health crisis intervention, substance abuse and related issues. Knowledge of rural community organizations, functions and relationships preferred. Valid Texas Drivers License and good driving record for the past three years.
PHYSICAL ABILITIES: Must be able to pass a job appropriate physical and drug screen.
